How much something costs isn’t as relevant if you never use it.  I’m sure lots of how have bought things that you thought would be fun to have, play with, use, etc…but never used it after you bought it.  A cool new drumset, Handbag, video game console, leather coat…you name it, I’m sure we’ve at least bought one item we question.  I’m going to give you a good way to think about expenses, and I’ve been using it for the least couple months.

How much the item costs / How long I’ll use it = Item cost per hour (low is awesome)

$$$/Time = Utility

Example:  Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2 ($60.00) / Played time (39 hours, so far) = $1.54 per hour. More >
